What to expect
Introduction
We praise God that after 16 months, BCEC can relaunch our ministries for in-person ministry, including worship services on the weekend of July 23-25. We are excited that we have the opportunity to worship together in-person and we are doing our best to ensure a safe worship environment. Here is what you can expect when you come in-person.
Pre-registration
Since space is limited, we require pre-registration. Registration is open a week before, but the deadline to register is Friday at 9 pm. If the service is at full capacity, you can join us online or sign up for the wait list. If you register, but cannot attend, please cancel so that those who are on the waitlist can have a seat.
Masks
Masks are required at all times in our facilities except for those with medical exemptions. Those who have a speaking or singing role during the service can take off their masks for their responsibilites.
People flow
We request that everyone enter through the main doors and exit through the rear exit to improve the flow of traffic. Since the sanctuary is unavailable, the English Congregation will be worshipping in the lower level multipurpose room. The multipurpose room can be found by going down the stairwell to the left of the main entrance. Please look for signs downstairs.
After a 65 minute service, the congregation will be dismissed through the rear stairwell to the rear exit.
Security
Before the pandemic, the main doors were unlocked during most of the morning and into the afternoon. To increase security, the doors will be on a timed system. The doors will be unlocked thirty minutes before our 11 am start time. The doors will be locked at 11:30 am. Ushers will monitor the video feed to allow people in remotely. Please make sure you come during the proper window of time when the doors are unlocked.
Children
Children's ministry resources online will continue, but they are welcome to attend in-person service. There are small tables and chairs available for families to use. The nursery and the youth lounge will be open for young children and a video feed of the service will be available. Parents must remain with the children.
Fellowship, food, and drink
People are welcome to linger in the outdoor playground area only. Masks are optional outside, but required for those who are not vaccinated, including children. Food and drink are permitted outdoors only. Trash must be taken to the dumpster.
Other precautions
During the service, we ask that you greet with a wave and not a handshake, particularly during the "passing of the peace". We will have congregational singing, but masks are required except for the worship leaders. There will be time alloted during service for offering, but we will not collect during the service. You may continue to give online or drop off your offering in a secure dropbox in the Fellowship Hall. For the Lord's supper, we will utilize prepackaged communion kits. For Baptism, we will continue to sprinkle until further notice.
